Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (‘TAR UC’) was established in 1969 with the focus of providing tertiary education opportunities for young Malaysians. The University College started with a single campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and have since expanded to five branch campuses established in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah. To date, TAR UC has produced over 210,000 graduates which are globally recognised and garnered numerous regional awards in higher education.
The Centre for Autonomous Systems and Robotics Research (CASRR) was founded under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FOET) of TAR UC to achieve the vision of becoming a pioneer in the advancement of autonomous technology research through the synergy between global research opportunities, applications of technology, industry partnership and project collaborations, in both academic and industry sectors.
